According to ETF Stream, S&P Dow Jones Indices is exploring a role in prediction markets, positioning index providers as independent “referees” that could supply trusted data, governance and event-resolution standards. CEO Catherine Clay said greater transparency could help attract institutional investors seeking to hedge specific risks through event contracts. The move comes as exchanges including Cboe, Nasdaq and CME expand prediction-style products, while ETF issuers Roundhill, GraniteShares and Bitwise pursue related ETFs.
