James Hardie to Replace Roku in S&P MidCap 400 Following Fox Acquisition

S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that James Hardie Industries (NYSE: JHX), a global building materials manufacturer, will replace Roku (NASDAQ: ROKU) in the S&P MidCap 400 Index effective before market open on November 11, 2026. The change follows the completion of Fox Corporation’s acquisition of Roku on November 6, removing the streaming technology company from the index. James Hardie will join the Materials sector, replacing Roku’s exposure in Communication Services. The reshuffle will require ETFs and other index-tracking funds benchmarked to the S&P MidCap 400 to adjust their portfolios, potentially generating buying activity in JHX and selling pressure on ROKU as passive investment vehicles rebalance to reflect the updated index composition.
