Grayscale is changing the investment objectives of its Bitcoin Covered Call ETF and Ethereum Covered Call ETF to emphasize “high income” rather than “current income.” The Bitcoin covered call fund will retain its secondary objective of participating in Bitcoin returns through options on Bitcoin ETPs, while the Ethereum covered call fund will continue seeking exposure to Ether-linked ETP returns. Approved by Grayscale Funds Trust’s board on August 13, the changes specifically apply to the firm’s covered call ETFs, distinguishing them from Grayscale’s other Bitcoin and Ether investment products.
