Tuttle Capital Files Five ETFs Betting Against Tech Creditworthiness

Tuttle Capital has filed with the SEC for five actively managed ETFs designed to profit from deteriorating credit conditions among major technology companies. The proposed funds target Oracle, CoreWeave, the Magnificent Seven, semiconductor companies, and hyperscalers, including SpaceX. Rather than shorting stocks, the ETFs would purchase credit default swaps (CDS) referencing corporate debt, seeking gains when credit spreads widen or defaults occur. Each fund intends to maintain CDS notional exposure of five to ten times its net assets, amplifying potential returns and losses. The filings introduce a way for ETF investors to speculate on rising credit risk across the AI and technology sectors. However, the strategies face significant leverage, counterparty, and liquidity risks, alongside ongoing premium costs. Notably, the funds could lose value even if the underlying companies' shares decline.
