Defiance has filed with the SEC for 56 PowerMaxx ETFs, including four additional strategies targeting OpenAI, Anthropic, Anduril Industries, and Samsung Electronics. The proposed lineup spans technology stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, and major equity indices, with the new filings extending the strategy into high-profile private companies. Sub-advised by Milliman Financial Risk Management, the funds would purchase call options across different strike prices and expiration dates to seek amplified returns without targeting a fixed daily leverage multiple. The strategies carry substantial risks from volatility, option time decay, and potential capital losses. Fund tickers and management fees remain undisclosed. SEC.
The OpenAI, Anthropic, and Anduril filings are particularly notable because they propose options-based exposure to companies without publicly traded shares. Their implementation would therefore depend on suitable listed shares and options becoming available.
