Morgan Stanley Hires ETF Specialist From L&G Ahead of European Expansion

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has appointed Aude Martin as an ETF specialist in London as it prepares to expand its European ETF business. Martin joins from Legal & General, where she spent more than seven years and most recently served as head of pooled index investment specialists. Her appointment follows the hiring of Sven Christen as head of ETF capital markets for EMEA in April. Morgan Stanley launched its first European ETF, the Garnet US Treasury Bond 1-3 Year UCITS ETF (GUS1), in March 2026 and has eight additional products approved by the Central Bank of Ireland awaiting launch. The pipeline includes active thematic and regional equity ETFs alongside covered call, buffer and autocallable strategies under its Parametric brand. The expansion builds on Morgan Stanley's U.S. ETF platform, launched in 2023, which had accumulated $16.5 billion in assets by September 2026.
