Vanguard Appoints Gilles Boitel to Lead Swiss and Liechtenstein Business

Vanguard has appointed Gilles Boitel as country head for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, effective immediately, tasking the Zurich-based executive with expanding its regional presence and strengthening client relationships. He reports to Simone Rosti, Vanguard’s head of Southern Europe. Boitel joins from DWS, where he spent more than 11 years helping grow the Xtrackers ETF business across Switzerland and Israel, following five years in ETF sales at Invesco and BlackRock. DWS will not replace his former Swiss sales head position, reflecting a broader restructuring that shifts distribution away from product-specific teams toward client-focused coverage. As part of the reorganization, Tommaso Ferrazzo has been appointed head of private wealth Switzerland, overseeing the corresponding client base. The hire strengthens Vanguard’s local ETF distribution expertise as it seeks to expand its footprint in both markets.
