JPMorgan Plans Active Overhaul of $400m Emerging Market Bond ETF

J.P. Morgan Asset Management plans to convert the $400m JPM USD Emerging Markets Sovereign Bond UCITS ETF (JPMB) from passive to active management, subject to shareholder approval. The ETF will stop tracking the J.P. Morgan Emerging Markets Risk-Aware Bond Index and instead use research-driven bond selection, benchmarked against the J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Diversified Index. Effective Dec. 2, JPMB would become the JPM USD Emerging Markets Bond Active UCITS ETF, with its TER cut from 0.39% to 0.38%. JPMAM expects the broader investment universe and flexibility to support returns, scale and liquidity.
