GammaRoad to Liquidate Market Navigation ETF (GMMA) Amid Low Assets

GammaRoad is set to close and liquidate its Market Navigation ETF (GMMA) after failing to attract sufficient assets to sustain its operations. According to a November 3 filing, adviser Tidal Investments recommended the closure, citing the fund's inability to generate enough assets to offset ongoing operating costs and remain commercially viable over the long term. The fund's board subsequently approved the liquidation, with GMMA scheduled to cease trading on NYSE Arca after the market close on November 18, 2026. The ETF will liquidate its portfolio and distribute remaining assets to shareholders on or around November 20, 2026. Investors holding shares through liquidation will receive cash based on their proportional ownership, potentially triggering taxable capital gains or losses. The closure highlights the challenges facing smaller ETFs in achieving sufficient scale to remain viable.
