BNY Mellon Plans Mutual Fund-to-ETF Conversions Pending Shareholder Vote

BNY Mellon has proposed converting two mutual funds into actively managed ETFs, subject to shareholder approval at an October 2026 vote. The BNY Mellon International Fund would become the BNY Mellon Active International Equity ETF, while the BNY Mellon Small Cap Multi-Strategy Fund would convert into the BNY Mellon Small Cap ETF. The reorganizations are expected to close in December 2026 and are designed to preserve each fund’s investment objective, management team, and performance history while offering potential ETF benefits such as lower expenses, greater tax efficiency, intraday trading, and improved portfolio management flexibility.
