Sterling Capital Files to Convert Five Mutual Funds Into ETFs in December

Sterling Capital Management has filed plans to convert five existing mutual funds into ETFs, with the reorganizations expected to take place around December 7, 2026. The conversions include three equity strategies, the Sterling Capital Large Cap Value Focused Factor ETF, Small Cap Value Focused Factor ETF, and Small Cap Value ETF, alongside two state-specific municipal bond strategies, the North Carolina Intermediate Tax-Free ETF and Virginia Intermediate Tax-Free ETF. Each ETF will retain its predecessor fund's investment objective, policies, and portfolio management team, with substantially the same investment strategy. Under the proposed reorganizations, existing shareholders will receive ETF shares equal in value to their mutual fund holdings. The transactions have received unanimous board approval and will not require a shareholder vote.
