Shelton Capital Files to Add ETF Share Class to Nasdaq-100 Fund

Shelton Capital Management has filed with the SEC to introduce an ETF share class of its existing Nasdaq-100 Index Fund, expanding the strategy beyond its mutual fund share classes (NASDX, NQQQX and NDXKX). The passively managed fund seeks to replicate the Nasdaq-100 Index, providing exposure to 100 of the largest nonfinancial companies listed on Nasdaq, weighted primarily by market capitalization. Shelton will invest at least 80% of assets in index constituents and may use futures to minimize tracking error, targeting a return correlation of at least 0.95 with the benchmark. The proposed ETF shares would trade on an exchange while accessing the same underlying portfolio as existing mutual fund investors, reflecting growing interest in dual-share-class structures. The October 26 filing leaves the ETF ticker, exchange, management fee and launch date unspecified.
