The Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF will become actively managed after the close on September 30, 2026, dropping “Ball” from its name and replacing its index-tracking objective with a total return objective. The renamed Roundhill Metaverse ETF will retain its thematic focus, investing at least 80% of net assets in companies enabling or benefiting from the metaverse. Its scope spans hardware, computing, networking, virtual platforms, digital payments and related services across U.S. and international markets. The strategy also permits indirect cryptocurrency exposure through ETFs, ETPs and crypto-related companies, but no direct cryptocurrency holdings. The shift gives managers discretion over portfolio selection beyond the Ball Metaverse Index.
