MFS has filed for the MFS Active Core Bond ETF, an actively managed strategy that will normally invest at least 80% of assets in investment-grade debt. The portfolio may span corporate bonds, U.S. government securities, mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities, as well as foreign debt. MFS will use a bottom-up approach centered on fundamental analysis, supplemented by quantitative screening and top-down portfolio views. The fund may also use futures, forwards, options and swaps to adjust market, security and interest-rate exposures, and can transact in mortgage-backed securities through the TBA market.
