Northern Trust Files MSCI US 500 ETF for Stock Index Fund Reorganization

Northern Trust Asset Management has filed for the Northern Trust MSCI US 500 ETF, which is expected to become the successor to the existing Stock Index Fund through a planned reorganization on February 26, 2027. The passive ETF will track the MSCI US 500 Index, providing exposure to the 500 largest issuers in the eligible U.S. equity universe. The fund will invest at least 80% of assets in index securities and related futures, primarily using replication with optimization available when needed. As of July 31, 2026, the index held 507 stocks with company market capitalizations ranging from approximately $1.23 billion to $4.63 trillion.
