Franklin Templeton Files ETF Blending Quant Factors With EM Conviction

The Franklin Core Emerging Market Enhanced Equity ETF will invest at least 80% of assets in emerging- and frontier-market equities. Drawing primarily from the MSCI Emerging Market Equity Index universe, the actively-managed fund will combine quality, value, sentiment and positioning factors with a proprietary conviction signal derived from Franklin Templeton’s active emerging-market strategies. The ETF may invest across market caps, hold up to 10% in developed markets and maintain significant exposure to countries such as China, including through VIE structures. The portfolio will generally be rebalanced monthly and may use equity futures.
