Franklin Templeton has launched two ETFs on Nasdaq combining U.S. equities with Bitcoin through systematic dividend reinvestment. The Franklin U.S. Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF (FBEQ) and Franklin U.S. Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF (FIBT) each start with a 95% equity allocation and 5% Bitcoin exposure, directing equity dividends into Bitcoin over time. Quarterly index reviews follow rules designed to keep Bitcoin a secondary allocation. FBEQ tracks approximately 500 large U.S. companies through the VettaFi U.S. Large-Cap 500 Bitcoin DRIP Index, charging 0.09%. FIBT follows the VettaFi U.S. Innovation 100 Bitcoin DRIP Index, covering 100 major Nasdaq-listed nonfinancial companies, with a 0.19% fee. The launches introduce a hybrid approach to equity and digital asset investing, allowing Bitcoin exposure to build through dividend reinvestment rather than direct investor contributions.
