Bloomberg Index Services has appointed Emanuele Di Stefano as chief executive officer while retaining his role as head of index product. Di Stefano joined Bloomberg in 2020 and previously led index product development after senior quantitative investment strategy roles at Macquarie, Citi, and Deutsche Bank. He succeeds Dave Gedeon, who departed in 2025 to join First Trust. The leadership change comes as Bloomberg’s index franchise continues to play a major role in the ETF industry, with more than 500 ETFs and over $1.5 trillion in assets linked to Bloomberg Fixed Income Indices.
