SMI Advisory Services has filed to launch the SMI Large Cap Core ETF (SMI), an actively managed fund investing primarily in large-cap U.S. equities. The ETF will use a proprietary quantitative strategy to select stocks from a universe of approximately 1,000 of the largest U.S. companies. Its investment process evaluates indicators including price performance over one-, three-, six-, and twelve-month periods, volatility, and valuation. Based on market conditions, the strategy can dynamically shift between growth- and value-oriented stocks while adjusting portfolio concentration. The fund is expected to hold between 50 and 800 securities, with individual positions approximately weighted by market capitalization. The portfolio will be periodically rebalanced based on quantitative signals, with additional adjustments permitted between scheduled reviews.
