REX Files FANG Innovation ETF With 50% Covered Call Overlay

The REX FANG & Innovation Growth & Income ETF will combine exposure to 15 U.S. technology stocks with a covered call strategy targeting roughly 50% of the portfolio. The Solactive FANG Innovation Index equally weights eight core names—including Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, Tesla and Meta—plus seven highly traded technology stocks. REX expects to sell calls on about 12.5% of the portfolio weekly, creating staggered option tranches designed to generate premium income while reducing timing risk. Because only about half the portfolio is targeted for overwriting, the actively-managed fund aims to preserve more upside participation than a fully covered-call strategy.
