The Nomura Wilshire Multi-Strategy Alternative ETF (ALTS) is designed to deliver low correlation to stocks and bonds by combining alternative strategies such as managed futures, global macro, credit long/short, merger and convertible arbitrage, and equity market neutral. Wilshire Advisors will oversee allocations, primarily gaining exposure through total return swaps tied to quantitative and hedge fund strategies. The actively-managed fund may initially emphasize quantitative strategies and add hedge fund exposures over time, aiming to reduce volatility and improve risk-adjusted returns.
