Moomoo Expands ETF Options Trading Into Pre-Market and After-Hours Sessions

Moomoo has partnered with Cboe to introduce extended trading hours for U.S.-listed options covering 25 individual stocks and five ETFs. The new sessions run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET before the market opens and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET after the closing bell. The expansion allows investors to react to early earnings releases, economic data, overnight market developments and post-close announcements without waiting for regular trading hours. Investors can use the additional sessions to establish positions, hedge existing exposures or adjust options strategies. The initiative builds on Cboe's efforts to expand access to derivatives trading beyond traditional market hours. However, extended-hours trading carries additional risks, including lower liquidity, wider bid-ask spreads and greater price volatility.
