Korea Exchange Opens Extended Trading, ETFs Remain Excluded
The Korea Exchange has launched its new after-hours market, extending real-time trading from 4 p.m.
Major index providers including S&P Dow Jones Indices, MSCI and FTSE Russell have updated their methodologies to accommodate securities primarily listed on the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE). This means companies transferring their primary listings to TXSE can remain eligible for major US indices and the ETFs and other products tracking them. CRSP/Morningstar, Nasdaq, Solactive, MarketVector, VettaFi, Indxx and others also recognize TXSE-listed securities. The milestone removes a key potential obstacle to attracting corporate and ETF listings as TXSE seeks to compete with established US exchanges.
