UBS Enters Active Equity ETF Market With Global Income Strategy
UBS Asset Management has launched its first active equity ETF in Europe with the UBS Global Equity Income Plus UCITS ETF (FGZJ).
Legal & General Asset Management has launched the L&G LSF African Government Bond (USD) UCITS ETF, providing investors with diversified exposure to USD-denominated African sovereign debt. Seeded in part by the UK FCDO’s MOBILIST programme, the first time it has backed an ETF, the fund tracks the iBoxx LSF USD African Sovereigns Index, covering both investment-grade and high-yield issuers. The ETF includes diversification measures such as country caps and eligibility rules aimed at limiting concentration risk. L&G says the product offers a new public-market route into African sovereign bonds while supporting efforts to improve liquidity, broaden investor participation, and lower financing costs across African capital markets.
