Mackenzie Keeps ETF Strategy Intact After Portfolio Manager Exit

HSBC Asset Management has appointed Alex Boggis as ETF and indexing business development director, reinforcing its UK ETF distribution efforts. Based in London, Boggis joins from DWS, where he covered discretionary fund managers and model portfolio clients. His appointment follows the departure of HSBC’s former UK ETF sales lead to Invesco and comes as the firm expands its ETF ambitions, including launching ETF share classes for fixed income and money market funds. HSBC has yet to extend the listed share-class model to equity ETFs, unlike some competitors.
