Howard Capital Management has launched the HCM Select 50 ETF (FIFT), an actively managed fund combining dividend and valuation factors with a tactical market-timing strategy. Using a proprietary model co-developed with Ned Davis Research, the ETF selects approximately 50 stocks from the S&P 500, ranking companies by dividend yield and EBITDA-to-enterprise-value ratios. The fund targets five top-ranked companies from each of 10 sectors, maintaining equal sector exposure through quarterly rebalancing. FIFT also employs Howard Capital’s proprietary HCM-BuyLine model to adjust equity exposure based on market trends. During unfavorable conditions, the fund can reduce its equity holdings and move up to 100% into cash and cash equivalents, while returning to full equity exposure when trends improve. The strategy seeks to combine dividend income, valuation discipline and downside risk management.
