Global X Files Two Laddered Autocallable Income ETFs

Global X has filed for two NYSE 100-based autocallable income ETFs that would use total return swaps to track laddered portfolios of roughly 52–260 synthetic autocallable contracts. Both strategies reference a volatility-targeted NYSE 100 index, use five-year contracts with one-year non-call periods, and include 70% downside risk barriers at maturity. The standard Income ETF uses a 70% coupon barrier with a memory feature that can restore missed coupons, while the Enhanced Income ETF sets its coupon and autocall barriers at 100% and uses a snowball feature that accrues coupons until a contract is called. Both target monthly distributions, but returns may face significant drag from financing costs, transaction costs and a 6% annual index decrement.
