Franklin Templeton has filed for the Templeton Emerging Markets Insights ETF, an actively managed fund seeking long-term investment opportunities across emerging market equities. The ETF will invest at least 80% of its net assets in emerging market companies, primarily targeting mid- and large-cap stocks. Its fundamental, research-driven approach focuses on businesses with sustainable earnings power trading below their estimated intrinsic value, assessing profitability, balance sheet strength, cash flows and valuations. The non-diversified fund may hold concentrated positions in markets such as China, Taiwan and South Korea, as well as technology and financial services. It can also allocate up to 20% to developed and frontier markets and use currency derivatives, equity futures and swaps to manage exposure, hedge risks or enhance returns.
