Fidelity Files to Add ETF Share Class to Mega Cap Stock Fund

Fidelity Investments has filed to introduce an ETF share class of its existing Fidelity Mega Cap Stock Fund, expanding its lineup through the dual-share-class structure rather than launching a standalone strategy. The actively managed fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in common stocks of mega-cap companies, generally defined as those with market capitalizations comparable to constituents of the Russell Top 200 or S&P 100 indices. The strategy can invest in both U.S. and international companies, combining growth and value opportunities without a fixed style bias. Fidelity uses fundamental research to evaluate companies' financial strength, competitive positioning, industry dynamics and broader economic conditions. The fund may also use derivatives to obtain equity exposure or manage market risk, with qualifying exposures counting toward its 80% investment policy.
