Fidelity Files for Short Duration Income ETF Targeting Higher Income With Limited Rate Sensitivity

Fidelity has filed to launch the Fidelity Short Duration Income ETF, a systematically managed fixed income fund seeking to generate income and returns above the Bloomberg U.S. 1-3 Year Corporate Bond Index. The ETF will invest at least 80% of its assets in debt securities and related instruments, allocating across investment-grade, high-yield, and emerging markets debt, with up to 25% in below-investment-grade securities. The fund will generally maintain a duration and dollar-weighted average maturity of three years or less, using quantitative factors such as valuation, quality, and momentum alongside derivatives to manage risk and optimize returns.
