UBS Enters Active Equity ETF Market With Global Income Strategy
UBS Asset Management has launched its first active equity ETF in Europe with the UBS Global Equity Income Plus UCITS ETF (FGZJ).
BNY Mellon launched the BNY Mellon Emerging Markets Debt ETF (BEMD), an actively managed strategy investing at least 80% of assets in emerging-market fixed income, primarily hard-currency debt denominated in U.S. dollars, euros or sterling. Sub-adviser Insight North America uses fundamental and quantitative research to identify undervalued countries, currencies, sectors and securities, including issuers with potential credit upgrades or attractive structural features. BEMD can invest significantly in below-investment-grade debt, has no maturity or duration constraints and may use futures and currency forwards for hedging, duration management or return enhancement. The non-diversified fund expects meaningful exposure across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
