BMO Asset Management has launched three ETFs on Cboe Canada, introducing Canada's first single-stock autocallable income strategies. The BMO Autocallable Income NVIDIA ETF (NVIA), Palantir ETF (PLTA), and Tesla ETF (TESA) offer exposure to their respective stocks through derivative-based autocallable transactions. Each fund seeks to generate potential monthly cash flow while providing a degree of downside protection, with a scheduled maturity approximately three and a half years after launch or an earlier termination date. The launches expand Canada's income-focused ETF market by bringing structured investment strategies to three high-profile technology and growth stocks. Unlike direct stock ownership, the funds offer a different risk-return profile, with potential gains shaped by their derivative structures and continued exposure to downside risk. BMO emphasizes that the products are not fixed-income substitutes.
