Bitwise Launches First U.S. Spot NEAR ETP with Staking Plans

Bitwise has launched the Bitwise NEAR ETF (NRR) on NYSE Arca, describing it as the first U.S. spot ETP offering exposure to the NEAR token. The fund charges a 0.75% management fee. Bitwise plans to stake the fund’s NEAR holdings in-house, which could add staking rewards to returns alongside changes in the token’s price. The launch extends Bitwise’s NEAR offering from Europe to the U.S. and adds another single-asset product to its crypto range. Bitwise links its investment case to NEAR’s role in blockchain transactions involving AI agents, though demand for that use case and any resulting benefit to the token remain uncertain. NRR is not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and does not carry the same protections as a conventional ETF.
