XFUNDS by Nicholas Wealth has launched the XFUNDS Technology Income ETF (VGTX), an actively managed fund combining exposure to U.S. technology stocks with options-based income strategies. The ETF invests primarily in shares of U.S.-listed information technology companies and ETFs tracking the sector, while using options to generate premiums that support cash distributions. Its strategies include put and call spreads, standalone call options and cash-secured puts, using both standard exchange-listed and FLEX options. The fund's primary objective is capital appreciation, with current income as a secondary goal. By combining technology equity exposure with options-based premium generation, VGTX seeks to provide investors with growth potential alongside recurring income, although distributions will depend on market conditions and options premiums collected.
