Morgan Stanley Files Three Options-Based ETFs in European Expansion

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has filed three actively managed options-based UCITS ETFs with the Central Bank of Ireland, marking its planned entry into Europe's growing covered call and hedged equity ETF market. The proposed funds are the Morgan Stanley Parametric Global Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF, Morgan Stanley Parametric Europe Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF and Morgan Stanley Parametric US Hedged Equity Active UCITS ETF. Managed by subsidiary Parametric Portfolio Associates, the strategies will target equity income generation and downside risk management through options overlays. The filings form part of Morgan Stanley's broader European ETF expansion, which also includes three thematic ETFs and an actively managed European equity strategy in development.
