Vanguard has appointed Rachel Baxter as head of investment management for its European business, succeeding Geoff Parish, who is moving to the US to become global head of fixed income indexing. Baxter will oversee portfolio management, investment research, capital markets, trading, and the European bond index team. She joins from Vanguard’s US bond index team, where she co-led portfolios spanning mutual funds, ETFs, and funds of funds. The appointment is part of a broader expansion of Vanguard’s European leadership, following recent senior hires Ursula Marchioni and Houda Ennebati.
