VanEck Launches Emerging Markets Inflation-Linked Bond ETF (EMIL)

VanEck has launched the VanEck EM Focus Inflation Bond ETF (EMIL), offering exposure to non-U.S. inflation-linked government bonds with an emphasis on emerging markets. The fund seeks to provide higher inflation-adjusted yields than U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), with VanEck noting that emerging market inflation-linked bonds offered more than twice the real yield of U.S. TIPS as of September 30, 2026. EMIL tracks the FTSE Emerging Markets Focused International Inflation-Linked Securities Index, which allocates at least 65% of its weight to emerging market sovereign bonds. Eligible securities must carry a minimum credit rating of CCC, with defaulted bonds excluded. The index rebalances monthly, while the ETF charges a 0.30% gross expense ratio and intends to distribute income monthly.
