Thornburg Investment Management has selected SS&C Technologies to provide operational and administrative support for its ETF share class structure. The $62 billion asset manager was among the first firms to receive SEC exemptive relief to introduce actively managed ETF share classes of existing mutual funds. Its Thornburg American Opportunities Fund (TAOZ) and Thornburg Focus Growth Fund (TFGZ) launched ETF share classes in April 2026. Under the agreement, SS&C will handle operational oversight, calculations, reconciliations, shareholder coordination and conversion processing, integrating ETF share class operations with Thornburg's existing mutual fund infrastructure. Thornburg's ETF lineup now manages more than $860 million in assets. The partnership highlights growing demand for infrastructure supporting dual-share-class structures as more asset managers explore offering mutual fund and ETF shares within the same portfolio.
