STOXX has agreed to acquire Scientific Beta, a France-based provider of smart beta, climate, and enhanced cap-weight indices, to strengthen its research-driven index business. The deal combines Scientific Beta’s academic factor research and portfolio construction expertise with STOXX’s index capabilities, creating an integrated platform spanning research through benchmark implementation. STOXX said the acquisition will accelerate its expansion among institutional asset owners and enhance its ability to deliver customized, systematic investment solutions backed by transparent, rules-based strategies.
