Polymarket has hired Lisa Mantil, formerly a Goldman Sachs partner and global head of its ETF accelerator, as head of institutional growth. Mantil will lead efforts to attract institutional traders and deepen liquidity as the prediction market operator expands its U.S. exchange. Her ETF experience brings product launch and institutional market expertise to a business whose trading has largely been driven by retail users. Institutional adoption remains early, with some firms cautious amid disputes over the regulation of sports event contracts. Polymarket has completed a block trade on its international platform, while brokers say the company has discussed bringing the large-trade mechanism to its U.S. exchange. Polymarket has not confirmed a timetable for that capability.
