Ninepoint Partners has launched the Ninepoint North American Energy Independence ETF (ENRG), its first U.S.-listed ETF, with trading beginning today on NYSE Arca. The actively managed fund invests across four areas of the North American energy system: oil and gas producers, pipelines and energy infrastructure, nuclear and uranium businesses, and copper and critical-mineral companies supporting grids and electrification. Ninepoint sees AI, data centers, industrial reshoring and electrification driving higher power and infrastructure demand, while geopolitical tensions increase the importance of secure regional supplies. ENRG will typically hold 25–50 stocks across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, with up to 10% invested outside North America. The ETF carries a 0.65% expense ratio and uses fundamental research alongside Ninepoint’s proprietary scoring framework to assess strategic importance, reliability, valuation and financial strength.
