UBS Enters Active Equity ETF Market With Global Income Strategy
UBS Asset Management has launched its first active equity ETF in Europe with the UBS Global Equity Income Plus UCITS ETF (FGZJ).
Mast Investments launched three actively managed ETFs using quantitative models from affiliate HedgeIndex, with Tidal Investments serving as sub-advisor. HXA targets merger, volatility and corporate-event arbitrage through long/short positions and derivatives, seeking low volatility and low equity-market correlation. HXE uses an adaptive global macro strategy across global equities, with up to ~135% long and ~60% short exposure, plus bonds, currencies and derivatives. HXC takes long and short commodity positions through futures, swaps and options, including via a Cayman subsidiary capped at 25% of assets. All three may employ leverage, hold cash or money-market instruments, and are classified as non-diversified.
