Madison Dearborn Partners has agreed to acquire The Marygold Companies, parent of commodity-focused ETF manager USCF, for $2 per share in cash, a 100% premium to its September 24 closing price. The deal would take Marygold private and support its planned refocus on USCF, which manages approximately $6 billion. ETF entrepreneur Tim Rotolo would become Marygold’s CEO, working with USCF’s leadership to expand products, distribution and marketing. Shareholders representing roughly 75% of outstanding shares have signed voting support agreements. Completion is expected in the first half of 2027 or earlier, subject to shareholder, regulatory and other approvals. Marygold would then delist from the NYSE.
