Kyobo AXA Asset Management relaunched as Kyobo Asset Management, alongside the listing of its first new ETF in nearly two years. The Power SK Group ETF tracks the iSelect SK Group Index and holds 16 affiliates spanning AI semiconductors, power infrastructure, renewable energy and biotechnology. The fund also targets potential benefits from increased dividends, share buybacks and cancellations at affiliates such as SK hynix and SK Square. The rebrand follows Kyobo Life Insurance’s acquisition of its former partner’s 50% stake, giving it full ownership and potentially greater flexibility to accelerate product development as the manager seeks to expand its relatively small ETF business.
