KraneShares to Liquidate Seven ETFs, Including Five Leveraged Funds

KraneShares has announced plans to liquidate seven ETFs, including five leveraged single-stock funds targeting PDD Holdings, MercadoLibre, Alibaba, JD.com and Baidu. The closures also include the KraneShares Asia Pacific High Income USD Bond ETF and KraneShares China Alpha Index ETF. According to an October 9 filing, all seven funds will cease trading on October 26, 2026, with liquidation scheduled for October 29. Beginning after October 15, the funds may deviate from their investment objectives as holdings are converted to cash, meaning leveraged and index-tracking products may no longer deliver their intended exposure. Investors can sell shares before trading ends, while remaining shareholders will receive cash distributions based on net asset value, less applicable liquidation costs. Distributions may trigger taxable events.
