Janus Henderson Investors has launched the Janus Henderson China Equity Active Core UCITS ETF (JCHN) on the London Stock Exchange, expanding its active equity lineup with a strategy targeting valuation opportunities across Chinese equities. The ETF charges a 0.39% total expense ratio, slightly undercutting Europe's only other active China equity ETF, JPMorgan's JREC, at 0.40%. Unlike its mainland-focused competitor, JCHN invests across Chinese A-shares and offshore listings in Hong Kong and the U.S. Managed by Victoria Mio, Benjamin Wang, and Zoey Zhu, the fund combines quantitative portfolio construction with fundamental research, holding between 100 and 150 stocks. The launch reflects Janus Henderson's push into active UCITS ETFs, with the strategy seeking to capitalize on valuation dispersion across Chinese sectors while maintaining disciplined risk controls.
