Invesco has launched the BulletShares 2036 Municipal Bond ETF (BSMA), expanding its defined-maturity municipal bond range. The index-tracking ETF targets US dollar-denominated, investment-grade municipal bonds that mature or have an effective maturity in 2036, with income exempt from federal income tax. Eligible bonds must carry at least a BBB-/Baa3 rating and generally have at least $15m outstanding. BSMA tracks the ICE BulletShares Municipal Bond 2036 Index using a sampling approach and is scheduled to terminate in December 2036, when its remaining net assets will be distributed to shareholders.
