Goldman Sachs Files for Active International Equity ETF Targeting Cash-Generating Companies

Goldman Sachs has filed to launch the Goldman Sachs International Equity ETF, an actively managed fund investing at least 80% of its net assets in non-U.S. equities. The ETF will focus primarily on developed markets, particularly Western Europe, Australia, Japan and New Zealand, while retaining flexibility to invest in emerging markets. Its investment strategy emphasizes attractively valued, cash-generating businesses with shareholder-oriented management teams, using fundamental research that may incorporate ESG considerations. The portfolio will maintain exposure to at least three countries outside the U.S. and may allocate more than 25% to a single developed market. The non-diversified fund may hold concentrated positions and will benchmark performance against the MSCI EAFE Index. A ticker, expense ratio and launch date have not been disclosed.
