Global X has launched the Global X LLM ETF (LLMA), an actively managed fund focused specifically on companies developing and deploying large language models and related products. The ETF will invest at least 80% of assets in LLM companies or derivatives providing exposure to them and charges a 0.75% gross expense ratio. Unlike Global X’s broader AIQ strategy, LLMA is designed as a concentrated portfolio targeting what the firm views as leading publicly traded LLM developers globally. As of September 30, its largest holdings included Meta, Alphabet, Alibaba, Nvidia and Microsoft, alongside SpaceX, MiniMax and Z.AI. Global X said the fund is intended to evolve as new LLM leaders list publicly, reflecting the increasingly global development of AI models and growing demand for more targeted exposure to this part of the AI ecosystem.
