F/m Investments has launched the F/m Long-Term Treasury Inflation-Protected Security ETF (RTHY), offering targeted exposure to U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) with maturities of at least 25 years. The passively managed fund tracks the Bloomberg U.S. TIPS 25+ Year Equal Weight Index, which equally weights eligible inflation-linked Treasury bonds with a minimum outstanding face value of $500 million. RTHY invests at least 80% of its assets in long-dated TIPS, whose principal values adjust with changes in the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI), providing protection against inflation. The fund uses a representative sampling strategy to replicate index performance and rebalances monthly. Its long-duration exposure makes it particularly sensitive to changes in real interest rates, with potentially significant price volatility despite the inflation protection offered by its underlying securities.
